Too much filler and build up before reaching an enjoyable conclusion, overall lacking in substance compared to previous releases in the series. I'm not sure how to review this. It seemed to have some good parts, but nothing ever tied together and there was zero story progression. You can sum up the entire book as "some people in space ships saw some other people in space ships and shot at each other, but weren't sure who they were. To be brief, the narration is bad and the story is uncompelling.
The book ends before anything of interest actually happens and the pace is glacial which is a big change from the other books in this series. Not sure I'll be moving forward with this series in the future which is a shame, it was so much fun through books This was an enjoyable listen. My problem with it is it didn't really advance the story line at all.
Maybe I have been tainted by the last audio book that was 40hrs but at 8 this seemed very short. Great story narrator is ok. It would like a greater variation in the narration. Maybe you should do 2 episodes as the only logical choice at this point is for the earth to use the drasin to threaten the empire into MAD. Just what the Doc ordered. Entertaining, Action packed, Aliens, Monsters and great dialog between hero's.
Pow, Zap Extremely well written and engaging story made even better by the Narrator David de Vries. Listened to all of the Odyssey series and each one as excitingbas the last! Really enjoyed the story but not the inconsistency in character accents. Looking forward to the next book. Would love to see this done well as a TV series. I have already downloaded the next book in the series and will be starting soon.
